History - New Manchester Manufacturing Company
The history behind this factory dates back
to before the Civil War.  It was ordered to
be burned by Federal troops in July, 1864.
The workers were then deported to
Louisville, Kentucky and after signing
papers pledging their allegiance to the
Union, they were sent across the Ohio
River to wait out the war.  Few workers
ever returned to New Manchester.  Photo

Near Silverton, Colorado.  This narrow
4X4 road leads to Crystal Lake.   A
beautiful drive.
This is a storm that passed through
the Atlanta, Georgia area.  It brought
with it high wind, golf ball sized hail,
and tornadoes.  Taken at sunset
shortly after the storm had passed my
location.  If you look closely you can
see what appears to be the face of a
baby or child
