Welcome to my GEORGIA STATE PARKS AND HISTORIC SITES photo collection
Amicalola Sunrise
Amicalola Falls State Park
While surfing the Internet in 2006, I came across a photo
contest on the Georgia Public Broadcasting Website.
While I had never entered a photo contest before, I did so
at the encouragement of friends and family and at the last
minute.  The rules of the contest stated that the photo
should be taken in the state of Georgia (could be your
backyard -or anywhere.)

After a couple of anxious months I received a phone call
notifying me that I had won the Grand Prize!  I don't know
who was more excited, myself or my family!

As a result of winning this contest and at the
encouragement of family and friends, I have started this
web site and have put some of my work up for sale.  This
entire experience has given me a new-found appreciation
for the beautiful state of Georgia.  But even more than
that, I have discovered a wonderful world inside a world -
the state parks and historic sites here in Georgia.  It is my
humble opinion that Georgia plays host to some of the
most beautiful and diverse scenery and history in the U.S.

If you would like to know more about the history of Georgia
state parks I recommend this video:  "Sites to Behold: The
History of Georgia's State Parks."  I cannot say enough
good things about it.  Check
Georgia Public Broadcasting
for more information.  It's available for purchase at most
state park visitor centers.  I purchased my copy at Tallulah
Gorge State Park.

my daily commute!  But then again I would
probably be late for work everyday...then I
would be fired...but then I could be a
landscape photographer full-time...but then I
would probably starve to death...hmm, better
stick to my current commute and the day job!
